Garrett Infinium LS

Garrett Infinium LS

This powerful, Pulse Induction metal detector will help you find treasures that have been both lost and missed by the generations before you either on land or 200ft. under the sea! The Infinium LS we’re featuring comes with a powerful 10” x 14” PROformance Power DD searchcoil and underwater headphones.

A PROformance DD 10” x 14” submersible searchcoil at the end of the Infinium LS is state-of-the-art “Rhino Tough” and interchangeable with three other sizes. This searchcoil is versatile and deep-seeking, making it effective for any type of detecting. Because the Infinium LS was meant to be submersible, you can take this coil and the entire detector into 200 feet of water without any adverse affects – this means the possibilities of finding treasure are almost limitless!

Possibly the most impressive aspect of the Infinium LS may not be its capacity to go 200ft. under water, but its 96 frequencies. No other manufacturer even comes close to creating a detector with this many frequencies! This is possible thanks to the API (Advanced Pulse Induction) technology that simultaneously provides the greatest number of multiple frequencies of any detector on the market – meaning you’ll find more with this detector than with any other! Find thin gold nuggets and delicate jewelry other detectors miss, while ignoring hot rocks, salt, terra cotta and overall changing ground conditions.

In addition to the plethora of frequencies provided by the Infinium LS, you’ll also be impressed with the detection depth and stability in mineralized environments. This means that no matter where you are – Arizona gold fiends, the volcanic rockslides of the Pacific Northwest or the black-sand beaches on the coast of Italy – the Infinium LS will provide the best results for the active treasure hunter because it can literally go anywhere. If you’re hunting in similar soil, the Infinium’s “Automatic Ground Tracking allows you to “lock” the ground track for the best performance. If you notice changes in the soil, choose “slow” or “fast” automatic tracking.

The “Discrimination” dial will allow you to treasure hunt “all metals” or narrow it down to a specific type. And the audible target identification assists you by employing different sounds for different metals. The best part is that the discrimination specifications are available for nearly 100% of the Infinium’s detection depth, not just your surface targets!

With adjustable and automatic ground tracking, nine advanced discrimination levels, Tone ID for enhanced target information, and a fully submersible and all-environment design, the Infinium LS is by far the most technologically advanced multiple frequency detector on the market.

Whether it's 200 feet below the sea or on top of the snow-peaked mountain, the Infinium LS pushes ahead in those rugged, mineralized conditions where other detectors crumble.

Looking for gold in Australia or Arizona? Searching volcanic rockslides of the Pacific Northwest or the black-sand beaches along Italy's coast? Then take the Infinium LS. And the waterproof design of the Infinium LS ("L" for land, "S" for sea) makes it the first metal detector highly recommended for both land detecting and underwater diving.

  • World's most powerful pulse induction machine

I have had my Infinium for some time now and have concluded that it is an exceptional detector. I have not found any ground mineralization that it will not work on. It will ground balance anywhere. I do all kinds of detecting and this machine does it all. If you are a Dig All Targets person, then this detector is the only way to go. I find the Infinium easy to set up, just switch it on, ground balance and away you go. Tuning out sporadic electrical interference is difficult but it can be quieted down enough to not be too annoying. The frequency adjust on the Infinium is mainly to eliminate the effects of nearby detectors and mains interference. The Infinium does seem to be a bobby pin magnet, but on the other hand, if you tune out bobby pins with a VLF discriminator you will also be discriminating out small gold rings and chains. I often use my Infinium at the beach and finding coins at depths to 15 inches in the wet sand is a regular event. I have other very good VLF beach detectors that have excellent discrimination ability which I use in trashy areas, but at the beach and in highly mineralised gold fields the Infinium really is hard to beat for performance and value for money.

I bought my Garrett Infinium LS ten months ago and I use it every chance I get. Unfortunately I still must earn a living so I have not detected as much as I'd like to.

Most of my detecting has been on the Atlantic coastline (beaches). I have coil searched in New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and Florida. My best find to date is a 10 carat London Blue Topaz set in a 14K white gold ring surrounded by smaller diamonds of various size. I've also found roughly three dollars worth of modern coins and lots and lots of pull tabs and aluminum cans and bottle tops galore.

I've been using the LS with the larger search coil it comes with. I'd like to get a smaller coil to try on the LS, but as of yet, have not. I've received signals from different objects at depths of up to two feet on the beach. I've had some problems adjusting frequency when detecting close to electrical lines/power lines.I have been able to somewhat lessen interference but for the most part, have not been able to completely eliminate it.

Discriminating between aluminum and precious metals has also been frustrating. As with most detectors,it takes a lot of practice to discern the slight differences in target sounds. The search coil shaft is a little wobbly with the larger search coil it comes with. The batteries do last a good while, though and it is a comfort to know the entire device is waterproof to a depth of two hundred feet. I carry several spare nylon nuts/bolts/washers which hold the adjustable shaft together, as I have had a few loosen and get lost in the field.

All in all, I am satisfied with the detector. My biggest problem is not having the time to get out there and search. Good luck and keep on sweepin'!!!

I bought my first metal detector back in the late 50's. They were clunky things back then. We got them five for 2 dollars and they had OD Green paint on them saying US Govt. If we were lucky we could get on working unit from the parts for all five detectors. Yes, they were the old style mine detectors from WWII or Korea. We felt great if they even found a nail or a screw as that meant they were working. Like I said lots of horse shoes and square cut nails plus lead and the odd piece of pick-em-ups. I got a Rat Shack when they came around as they had BFO's boy that was fancy gear then. We even found a few tiny things like a hammer or Coins and stuff. Forget going to the beach as the salt water made it a mess. Fisher and Garrett were the names to go with back then. Hey those guys even showed up at a few of the Gem and Gold shows. The really nice part about those two gentlemen was they really were GENTLEMEN. They spoke highly of each other and nicely about the items they made. They knew their product better but they never had a bad word to say about what the other guy had. I have seen a lot of folks put down the other equipment. I say this much he has what he bought. Maybe he wanted it as much as you wanted your detector. Maybe he wanted to buy the same detector you bought. Right now there are a ton of detectors out there. Most of the detector companies say their machine is great for every thing from coins to gold and even diamonds or what have you. They may be. Still, I will say this much. Read the manual to your detector not once or twice but ten or twenty times and if there is a DVD but and watch it a dozen eleven times as well. I know I said dozen eleven that works out to 1211 viewing doesn't it? Now what do I think of the Garrett Infinium LS. I do not think there is a metal/gold detector out there in the land of Nod or the US-N'S or OZ. That does it job any better than this machine does. I have found chunks of Lead as deep as 6 inches. I have found number 6 bird shot out of lead as deep as 4 inches. I have found a tiny framing nail as deep as a foot. And big nuggets two foot deep. I set up my one acre test plot using Gold leaf that is a single sheet and about a 1/4 inch diameter. Place it between two pieces of scotch tape and then put that in the ground. The dirt in my test plot is all bright red clay and from the northern part of CA so it has more than its share of hot rocks. Still I happen to love my Infinium LS and will probably keep it as long as I can look. Yes it will find coins and such but I use mine looking for GOLD! I would have put Ten Stars but they said there was only room for FIVE.

I found a Nugget of gold and quartz. My first trip out I found a piece of Number 6 lead shot from a 12 gauage shotgun out in my back field. It was 4 inches deep. There is a DVD video that everyone who owns an Infinium LS has to own. YOU HAVE TO OWN IT!

This detector will take care of anything and it will help you find gold no matter what is around you will be able to find the GOLD as well as the coins and other stuff. It is my agreement to be able to purchase it so go figure it out I wanted it that bad. My first time out I found a nugget that was about half an OZ. Nuff said right?

OK. Now that I have some time on my New Garrett Infinium LS I am on happy camper. I will admit the first few days were difficult but then the DVD of Operating the Infinium LS showed up in the mail. I set down and watched it. Then I watched it again. I grabbed the detector and went out back in my yard. I happen to live on some acreage Due East of me is a Buried Gold Mine, North of my Property that had the Irish Creek Mine. West of my property line is the Yankee Jones Mine. Course I seem to have found all the old pop top tabs in the world in between those places. I don't mind it keeps me flexible getting up and down digging for all the trash in the area. Don't worry I also manage to pickup my fair share of rusty nails and springs and pieces of lead some from bird shot other from rifle bullets. Please note any detector that will locate a piece of number 6 bird shot underneath a 250,000 volt high Power Line will find gold just about anywhere. I have one creek on the property and it cuts right through a section of bedrock. It is a small cut and it happens to stair step its way down the rock walls of the cut. Now I can find which cracks and crevices to crack open and clean out I also find which pieces of quartz is holding gold in it veins even if they do not show that well. I will always keep this machine so far five nuggets none very big but they look like Pilot Rock to me. For those that do not know Pilot Rock is that Great Big Rock to the East Side of I-5 at the Oregon - California Border. It is about 500ft high and wide. Thanks Kellyco for all the Coils and accessories including the Garrett Pin Pointer I got as well. There is not a better machine on the market.

The Garrett Infinium LS works. It is my first metal detector. I am serious about anything I do and I buy the best item I can afford for the job. I started doing research on the Internet and found the Kellyco.com site to offer the most information on various metal detectors and the ability to compare up to three items at a time side by side. I purchased the Infinium LS from Kellyco.com. It was a very easy transaction. My decision was based on having the most features and a larger search coil. I have used it in salt water and on land. The unit is very easy to use. I watched the 10 min CD. My first day finds were a quarter, car key, coke caps, screws, etc. I love my unit. Hope this helps.

I bought my Infinium LS about 6 months ago. I think it is the best detector ever. As long as you take the time to read the instructions and review the video, this detector will do everything as advertised and more. I am extremely pleased with its performance. I bought this detector to use it on land as well as underwater. I am an avid scuba diver and this machine works just as well underwater as it does on land. I really like the discrimination feature. I have used this detector on mineralized sandy beaches, mineralized mountain areas, and at 60 ft under water. I do a lot of coin and jewelry detecting on the beach and nugget searching in the Trinity and Sutter area. I have not yet found any rings but I have found about $3.88 in quarters, dimes, nickles and pennies so far. I take my granddaughter (6 yrs old) with me on beach hunting. We both dig all signals because we enjoy detecting. We have found bobby pins, bottle caps, and part of a boat propeller. This detector has an awesome depth range. I have found coins 12 inches in the sand. I have used the Iron discriminator to see if it is ferrous or non-ferrous metal. I have also found a hot wheels police car buried about 16in in the sand. I am very happy I bought this detector and highly recommend this detector for anyone who wants the best of both worlds, Land and Sea. Thanks Kellyco, you guys are the best!

I find most Garret metal detectors very easy to use. I have had at least 5 of them. I have used them mostly for coin hunting. I’m looking forward to Garrett using L S electronics into a land only metal detector so it will weigh less and not have such a heavy search coil. It would make Garrett a much more interesting company.
