The Musketeer Advantage Pro is perfectly suited to coin and relic hunters who value performance over complex features. Lightweight and easy to operate, this detector is suitable for both novice and experienced treasure hunters as it is easily the best performing in its class.
The Minelab Musketeer comes with a 10” Double ‘D’ coil that contains two ‘D’ shaped windings and is perfect for locating deep targets. The Double ‘D’ coil provides you with a detection pattern as you search that is “blade like” and is sensitive from tip to heel. This allows you to pinpoint your targets easily because you can cover more ground with each sweep, with almost zero overlapping! This coil is also one of the “Treasure Searcher Slimline” series, made from a lightweight material that keeps you from becoming fatigued as you sweep the coil in search of treasure.
Of course the Musketeer Advantage Pro we’re featuring is the latest version and has several new features. A sturdy, two piece, adjustable shaft now holds the control box, which has an all new “Quick Release” feature for hip mounting.
The “Treasure Sercher Slimline” coil makes the detector up to 25% lighter than the previous models were, giving this detector a total weight of 33.1 oz’s.
Also new is the “Pin-point/Non-motion mode.” Minelab’s pinpointing couldn’t get any easier or any better. By enabling the pinpoint mode on your detector, you have told it to become a non-motion detector; temporarily disengaging discrimination patterns and emitting a signal for many more metals. Combined with increased sensitivity and “Precision Adjustable Ground Balance,” the Musketeer Advantage Pro will have you searching for treasure within minutes of coming out of the box.

I started out metal detecting because I had a heart attack and needed to get out and get some exercise. I hated just walking around, with nothing to do but walk.I saw a commercial on TV for White's metal detectors and decided that might be a fun way to get exercise.
So I bought a Minelab Musketeer Advantage detector. I didn't find too much for about a month, but once I learned the detector I started finding all kind of things, old coins, jewelry, knives. I found a whole lot of Buffalo nickels with the Musketeer Advantage for some reason, I have never found so many buffalo nickels with any other detector. It was like it was made for finding them.Over the 2 years I owned the Advantage I found 32 Buffalo nickles that detector was like a buffalo nickel magnet.
There are no led screens or anything like that,it is a very plain looking detector, but it works great for finding coins and relics. It would be a perfect detector if it was lighter weight,it`s not outrageously heavy but could be a bit lighter. The Musketeer Advantage found some really deep targets, one was this round thing it was about the size of a quarter it had an old woman with a cat with his back arched on it.
I posted it online and was told it was a button from a dress from the 1800`s ,anyways it was way down I was up to my elbow but the time I got to it.I would say approx. 14" when I first pulled it out I thought it was an old coin, but after cleaning it saw it wasn't.

The Minelab Musketeer Advantage is one great detector, easy to learn and use. Within a short 15 minutes you'll be finding coins in any school playground. It has easy to use controls with out the glitzy bells and whistles of most complicated programmable high end detectors. Talk about power, it goes deep!!! Especially in highly mineralized soils like I encountered while living in Georgia that could penetrate without loosing much depth. It was one of only a few detectors that matched or exceeded performance of many high end detectors.
I liked the Musketeer so much I owned two of them, the Advantage and Advantage Pro.
Sadly I sold them, thought the grass was greener on the other side. Always came back to th Musky. Currently own the 1994 grass roots Musky--The Sterling with the newer 8" Advantage coil as well as the Kellyco 5" EXcelerator. The small coil works wonders n trashy areas and goes about as deep as the 8".
Over the years, I have found piles of coins and relics with the Musky. You will really be amazed with the Musky, an underrated detector.
I have started a Yahoo user group "The Minelab Musketeers". It currently is the largest repository of Musketeer info on the web.
Within a few weeks I'll have another Musketeer to hunt with. Really is one detector you always seem to come back to.
