A PROformance 9.5” Imaging submersible searchcoil at the end of the GTI 1500 is state-of-the-art. Both larger and smaller coils are available in the accessories area for this metal detector, but the 9.5” is a great place to start. This searchcoil is versatile and deep-seeking, making it effective for any type of detecting. The GTI 1500 was designed specifically for coin, ring, and relic hunters and it has many of the same advanced features of the GTI 2500 with a slightly lower price tag. Perhaps most impressive about the GTI 1500 is Garrett’s exclusive, onboard PowerMaster Circuitry DSPT (digital signal processing) chip that allows both you and the detector to discriminate more accurately with your imaging searchcoil.
The two modes available on the GTI 1500 are “Motion” to detect coins, jewelry, and relics. This mode allows you to customize the discrimination modes with visual target ID. The second mode is “Imaging (Pinpoint)” and allows you to detect precise targets with non-motion, visual target imaging. Of course Garrett provides you the option of customizing the audio tone ID, frequency, volume, and sensitivity. It certainly sounds like a lot to handle, and this Garrett product promises you’ll never grow bored. It has an external speaker as well as a headphone jack and comes with a hip mount battery pack whose status will be continuously available on the LCD screen.
